Exploring Global Citizenship

Less than one week to go before conference! We have had to re-organise some of our workshops and speakers, and as a result we are now able to offer more workshops. Registrations are now coming in, if you haven't sent yours in please download the form here and send it in. This is shaping up to be a great opportunity to network with others and engage in some challenging thinking regarding this field of education.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Dr. Vanessa Andreotti is a Brazilian educator who has worked in the area of global citizenship and development education in the UK and internationally for the past 8 years - before that she was a classroom teacher in Brazil. She is affiliated to the Centre for the Study of Social and Global Justice at the University of Nottingham and coordinates the projects 'Open spaces for dialogue and Enquiry' (www.osdemethodology.org.uk) and 'Through Other Eyes' (www.throughothereyes.org.uk). Both projects promote approaches to global citizenship education that emphasise critical literacy, independent thinking, North-South relations and an ethical relationship to difference in teacher, formal, informal and higher education.
